The Richmond Wrap-Up is a regular column devoted to the Richmond Kickers, a club in the United Soccer League's Second Division (USL-2). Original conent is provided by our USL-2 correspondent and intern Katie Mawyer.

Mawyer is a sophomore studying communication and English at Virginia Tech located in Blacksburg, VA. As a Richmond native, she attended Varina High School and participated in the school’s Center for Communications where she found her love of sports and journalism. As a college student, Katie works with the Virginia Tech Athletic Communications Department. With the department she works alongside fellow sports reporters and media correspondents, a field of profession Katie wishes to pursue in the future. Katie also interns with The Roanoke Times, the New River Valley newspaper based in Roanoke, VA. An avid sports fan, Katie enjoys watching and attending games of any sort and reporting on the action.
