1st Annual Louisville Lightning Mockingbird Customer Appreciation Day

The Louisville Lightning host members of the soccer community
on Saturday, November 7 with a kickoff at 7:30 pm

Louisville, KY- The Louisville Lightning cordially invites Mockingbird Valley Customers to Mockingbird Valley Soccer Facility on Saturday, November 7, for a chance to meet players, coaches, and administrators; receive details on the upcoming season; and witness the official Yellow v. White Scrimmage and Mockingbird Customer Appreciation Day.

The Lightning will start official play in the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) on November 13, 2009, at 7:30pm. The PASL-Pro forms part of the largest arena soccer organization in the world. The PASL-Pro Eastern Division includes the Lightning along with St. Louis Illusion, 1790 Cincinnati Express, Detroit Waza, and Ohio Vortex. Nine home games will be played at Mockingbird Valley Soccer Indoor Facility and ticket packages may be purchased online, www.louisvillelightning.com, or in person.

Mockingbird Valley is completing renovation to their new elevated VIP section, general seating, premium seating, and concessions. The scrimmage will provide an excellent opportunity to witness the before and after changes taking place. Aside from the new amenities being added to the physical facility, each game will feature a kids zone with inflatable’s and games, pre-game entertainment and music, promotional giveaways, and post game parties with our official Bar Sponsor, Molly Malone’s.

A mix of talent from across the country and international borders forms the team’s roster. Nine local players include: Frank Peapody, Nick Staggs, David Horne, and John Payne (all graduates of St.Xavier); Lindsay Smith (Collegiate); Lee Weyland (Trinity); Nick Judah (Ballard); Adam Boyer (Manual); Pat Pittenger (South Oldham); and Ryan Macdonald (a recent member of the University of Louisville Men’s Soccer Team). Several players also have various levels of experience with Major League Soccer and in other professional leagues in Puerto Rico, Bosnia, England, and Germany.
