Northampton Town's youth team travelled to QPR in the Football League Youth Alliance on Saturday.

The Cobblers were beaten 3-1 but Head of Youth Geoff Harrop was pleased with the performance.

“I thought we more than matched the best side in the league,” he said.

“We battled well and created a number of chances but we were undone by a couple of individual errors. Overall though I was pleased with the performance.”

The Cobblers goal came from Malachi Farquharson.
